About the Journal
Studia Phaenomenologica is an international peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to the study and advancement of phenomenology and related areas of continental philosophy. Since its establishment in 2001, the journal has served as an important platform for scholarly dialogue on phenomenological thought, encouraging rigorous philosophical investigation and interdisciplinary engagement within the humanities.
Published by the Romanian Society for Phenomenology, the journal brings together contributions from leading scholars and emerging researchers working in phenomenology, hermeneutics, existential philosophy, and related philosophical traditions. The journal promotes original research that engages with the works of major phenomenological thinkers such as Edmund Husserl, Martin Heidegger, Maurice Merleau-Ponty, and other influential figures within continental philosophy.
Studia Phaenomenologica publishes one issue annually and welcomes high-quality research articles, critical essays, and thematic contributions that advance contemporary debates in phenomenological philosophy. The journal encourages interdisciplinary perspectives that connect phenomenology with theology, cultural studies, social theory, political philosophy, and the philosophy of science.
The journal is widely recognized in the academic community and is indexed in major international databases including the Web of Science Core Collection (Arts & Humanities Citation Index and Current Contents – Arts & Humanities) and Scopus, along with other scholarly indexing services such as MIAR, CARHUS Plus+, and the JUFO Portal.
