Studia Phaenomenologica is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, transparency, and scholarly quality in its publishing practices. The journal follows internationally recognized ethical guidelines and best practices to ensure responsible research dissemination and a fair editorial process.
Peer Review Policy
All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process. In this system, the identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to ensure impartial evaluation. Each manuscript is assessed by independent experts who evaluate the submission based on originality, scholarly contribution, methodological rigor, clarity of argument, and relevance to the journal’s scope. The editorial board makes the final decision based on reviewers’ recommendations.
Originality and Plagiarism Policy
Authors must ensure that all submitted work is original and has not been previously published or simultaneously submitted to another journal or publisher. All manuscripts may be checked using plagiarism detection tools to verify originality. Any form of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, fabrication, or falsification of information, is considered unethical and will lead to rejection or withdrawal of the manuscript.
Open Access Policy
The journal operates under a Gold Open Access model, ensuring that all published articles are freely and permanently accessible to readers worldwide without subscription barriers. This policy supports the global dissemination of scholarly knowledge and encourages wider academic engagement with the research published in the journal.
Copyright and Licensing Policy
Copyright of all published articles is held by the journal. Published content is distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License, which permits readers to download and share articles with appropriate attribution for non-commercial purposes. The license does not permit modification, adaptation, or commercial use of the published material.
Author Responsibilities
Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of their research. All sources must be properly cited, and any potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed during submission. Authors must also obtain necessary permissions for the use of copyrighted materials such as images, tables, or extended quotations.
Editorial Responsibilities
The editorial team is responsible for maintaining confidentiality during the review process, ensuring fair and unbiased editorial decisions, and upholding the academic quality of the journal. Editors evaluate submissions solely on the basis of academic merit, without discrimination based on nationality, institutional affiliation, gender, or personal beliefs.
Corrections and Retractions
If significant errors or ethical concerns are discovered after publication, the journal reserves the right to issue corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions when necessary. Such actions will be taken in accordance with established publishing standards to maintain the accuracy of the scholarly record.
Article Processing Charges (APC)
The journal charges an Article Processing Charge upon acceptance of a manuscript to support open access publication. The APC is EUR 1400 for authors based in Romania and EUR 1800 for authors from other countries.
Through these policies, Studia Phaenomenologica aims to uphold ethical publishing practices, ensure academic excellence, and promote responsible dissemination of philosophical scholarship.
